Bacon: the new condiment?

March 14, 2011   Leave a Comment

Bacon, an essential side-dish typically eaten at Breakfast, has become much more than just that in our recent history.

Crispy bacon. Hungry now? ;)

Perusing many chefs menus both locally in Vegas and beyond, one will notice bacon has become a staple in creating partial to even full menus across the States.  You will find it in Bread, Appetizers, Salads, Entrees – and dare I say – dessert?     Yes.

Taking note of this American obsession , I turn your heads to a menu that is just that – a bacon lover’s delight. In fact, the kind folks over at Diablo’s Cantina in Las Vegas,  have employed this “breakfast treat” across an entire menu. Begging the TVF question of the day: “Is Bacon the new condiment?”

But don’t just take my word for it – have a look for yourself.

From start to finish - Diablo's Cantina celebrates good ol' Bacon.

TheVegasFoodie…is Moving…?

TheVegasFoodie is moving to Blast Magazine!

THIS JUST IN – Boston’s Blast Magazine collides with TheVegasFoodie to bring you some hip, fresh eating reviews that will even make yo momma say “Mmmmm…that’s wicked pissa!”

From TVF:

To my loyal readers of all things Vegas food and the like.  I am writing you today to first of all apologize for the recent lag of content.  I assure you there is very good reason for this.  More recently, John Guilfoil – reporter for the Boston Globe (Boston also being my childhood stomping ground – Go Sox!), asked permission to bring on The Vegas Foodie as a part of the Blast Magazine experience.  I am happy to report that I did not hesitate to say yes to a very hip, young + smart online Mag.

You will see some changes in the next coming weeks, but the content will stay relevant to the city you want your restaurant reviews on – “Vegas, baby!” As some of you are already aware, there are many amazing changes coming to the Vegas dining landscape and I am ecstatic to not only be a part of these changes, but be able to share my experiences with you!

Eat Well!
